It’s Day 2 of the three days, three quotes challenge. I would like to thank My Li’l Place for this nomination. Please visit her page and check out her creative posts.
This challenge inspired me to share with you – Three Quotes that will Change your Life.
Here’s the 2nd quote…
There is nothing to fear because you cannot fail – only learn, grow, and become better than you’ve ever been before. – Hal Elrod
I joined a Declamation Contest in High School. I represented our school and competed with students from different schools in our city. I performed in front of a large audience and of course, I gave it my best shot. I did not win.
It was heartbreaking because I practiced and spent a lot of my time preparing for the competition. My father wiped away my tears and told me that it’s ok to fail as long as I did my best. I have to learn to accept failure, get back on my feet and try again. After that, I’ve won other competitions, joined the Theater Group and got an award for Most Outstanding in Dramatics on graduation. It would have been nice to tell you that I went to Broadway and won a Tony Award, but that’s not my story.
I went through life facing one challenge after another. Sometimes I win, sometimes I lose. That failure I had in high school taught me how to be resilient. I’m learning from every pain and from every triumph. I’m slowly becoming the best version of myself.
Don’t let the fear of failure stop you from taking the first step towards your goal!
What are some of your goals for this year? Have you taken any steps to achieve it? Please share in the comments below. I’d love to hear from you!

Love this quote Fritzie! As a primary school teacher, I used this all the time to encourage my students. It’s one of those quotes to live by and helps with all the obstacles we face as we journey through life. Love it!
Life is indeed full of obstacles and if we don’t learn how to face our fear of failure – it will be really hard to move forward and live life to the fullest. Actually, I was reading your blog and I can’t help but admire how brave you both are to ”take the leap of faith,” follow your hearts and make your travel dreams come true! 😊
Absolutely agreed:)

Thank you for sharing the wins and losses in your life. I cannot agree more with you. We cannot give up because we only discover more of ourselves that way. Without our failures, I don’t think we can learn. Easier said than done, of course. 🙂 Great quote, my dear!
Failure does help us learn more about ourselves. It uncovers our weaknesses and strengths. It teaches us what areas in our life needs change or improvement to be able to face more challenges ahead.
